Dealing with the vendors side of things in my chain (only a chain of three with me in the middle) has been a bloody nightmare. Everything has been so slow. Their estate agent, their solicitor, the vendors themselves coming back after the survey etc. Sometimes it’s taken my solicitor contacting theirs, plus me ringing the estate agent to ask the seller to contact them as well to get things moving.
We haven’t exchanged yet - my solicitor sent back enquiries last Monday to theirs. There’s a few queries for the vendors to answer, certificates etc and then some legal stuff their solicitor will need to deal with.
I want to push on as I’ll need to get movers & time off work booked plus the other bits and bobs. My purchaser is also up my arse. Given how slow they (sellers side) has been so far, how often do you think is appropriate to keep pushing for a response?
