I need to find a solicitor for a property I am buying reasonably quickly. My offer on a property has been accepted. I am a single parent and not exactly an expert on the ins and outs of the stages of buying a property. How do I find a decent, affordable solicitor? I have asked friends but their responses have generally been vague and tempered with the statement that they haven't used one for years. I live in south-West London but the location of the solicitor need not necessarily be local.
