Which one would you recommend please?

We've just bought a NEFF multizone. It gets reasonable reviews. The undermounted vent takes up most of the cupboard under neath. Not been delivered yet so can't comment!

Bora.

Ozanj · 08/07/2021 21:39

@nimbuscloud

Bora.
Thanks. Do you have one? Is the extraction effective?

Op sorry to jump in with no solution for you, but what is an under vent induction please!

nimbuscloud · 08/07/2021 21:51

@Ozanj
Yes we have one
Really pleased with it
The only thing to bear in mind is that the filters have to be changed annually and they are not cheap.

Oh no, how much do you pay if you don’t mind me asking? I love the look and feel of the Bora but it’s so expensive!

About €130 - from Germany

Our neff is being installed on an island. Getting metal ducting made to go under the screened floor. …. I’ve got a feeling it’s never going to work….

Ozanj · 09/07/2021 10:07

@LittleOverWhelmed

Be very very careful with your set-up. Are you intending to duct externally or recirculate? On an island or against a wall

We have one (just had the kitchen fitted) and can’t use it yet. The builder fitted sub-spec ducting and it doesn’t effective extract. The builder is trying to remedy that now, but it is involving digging under the kitchen floor to try to do it (we have suspending floors and the UFH, engineered flooring and kitchen has been fitted and so they can’t pull them up to fix it).

If ducting, it MUST be the recommended 6” rigid ducting. With minimal run and minimal turns. Neff engineer (called out by the builder) actually said it was much more effective against a wall and not on an island (because against a wall, it has a shorter run outside). This is bizarre as you would think that they would be most useful on an island…

Yes after doing a shed loads of research we decided to go for recirculation as they seem to have fewer problems longer term, and newer technology means grease is absorbed well (I do a lot of Indian and Romany cooking which is fairly fatty lol). We will have a powerful extractor fan by the sink to sort out any particularly problematic smells but it probably won’t be very useful.

We have a bora pure which ducts outside and it is brilliant. Ours is on an island with a straight 5m extraction run. We bought the bora extraction pipes with the hob. At the time I though they were expensive but I am glad we did now because it gets daily use.

Hi @LittleOverWhelmed i know this thread is super old but I have the same problem that happened to you!
my builder fitted 110mm ducting instead of 150 and it's got lots of bends in, comes out upwards to an air brick.

could you let me know what your builders did in the end and if it worked for you?
im considering just returning the job and getting a bathroom fan instead.

Thank you so much!
I think we are going to actually swap the job and just go for the fan on the wall - do you find it works well enough for you?

Mango30 · 06/09/2023 20:44

hob not job!
