I've received my mortgage agreement which me and DP have to sign. This has to be signed in the presence of a witness - does this have to be the same witness for both me and DP or can it be different witness for each of us?

You can have the same witness asking as they know you both

It can be the same witness - our neighbour witnessed both of our signatures.

The same or different is fine.

Either or is fine but they can't be related to you. (Experience of sending them back when parents have witnessed for their child).
