Hello, I’m relatively new on here and am thinking of moving with my husband and 5year old to Harpenden in the summer from west London.
We’ve been a few times and it seems lovely and with a village feel-are people friendly and are the primary schools good? My daughter will be going into year 1
Thanks in advance Smile

I grew up there. I haven’t lived there since 2001 so I can’t say more recently. However, it was a fantastic place to grow up. Lots of open spaces with the commons. I went to sir John lawes which was/is outstanding. Very safe, walked to school from a young age- always felt safe. I’m not white British either and never felt discriminated against.

Hi - we live next door in St. Albans and i have colleagues in Harpenden. It is lovely - outstanding schools, good transport, friendly. It's very quiet, which may or not be your vibe.

Thank you so much both 😊

We’re trying to decide between Harpenden and Marlow. Both so lovely.
Hoping for a community feel wherever we decide
