TV set up help - wires wires! Help needed please

Hi
We’re redoing a games room for teenage boys. We’ve just bought a new wall hung TV and mount now I’m wondering what to do about the cables/electrics.

It sounds like we need a plug put in right behind the TV. Also what about any cables for gaming? Have people raggled into the wall?

No DVD player these days as Apple TV/Smart tv and we have Netflix etc…

I’m not a big TV watcher myself so am on a steep learning curve! I just want a slick looking set up…

Also I was going to get a low cabinet for putting stuff on, the TV won’t be sitting on it. Does that sound right?

The neatest set up is to channel a conduit into the wall with one end open behind back of TV, and the lower end down behind a media unit or sideboard. Then you can feed cables into back of unit to various boxes.
Our TV controls are Bluetooth or WiFi so work OK thru closed doors. Some setups need line of sight so maybe some open sections might be required
