L shaped living room furniture layout

I am having problems trying to work out how to set out our seating in our living room (floor plan attached). Because it is L shaped any sofas end up cutting off half the room which ends up as wasted space. Does anyone have any suggestions of what I could do?

There is a fireplace on the bottom wall which should be a focal point but then we seen to waste the space by the windows. We have a separate dining room and playroom so the room is just used for seating/TV. Any ideas?

How about an L shaped sofa under the windows, and TV on the wall opposite the windows so that while the fireplace is the focal point, you can also watch TV from the sofa. Chair of some sort where circle is and storage/sideboard on wall where TV is?
I'm not good at visualising size of rooms - it seems quite large from the dimensions quoted.

it is a big room so I'd aim for two seating areas. one formal with a sofa opposite the fireplace plus some big armchairs, and a second informal seating area (maybe smaller lighter armchairs) by the french doors to the garden.

Thanks both. I like the corner sofa idea but the distance to the tv is a bit too far.

I have tried 2 seating areas (we have this atm) but they both seem too cramped. When we have guests we end up in 2 groups which is a bit odd.

I am not sure if there is an ideal solution really.

We have an l-shaped sofa in a room a similar shape and to be honest it's an absolute bastard. The people who sit in the corner are forever kicking each other, so although it has 4 seats, it can only really comfortably seat 2 people. Waste of money in my opinion. Stick with regular sofas and chairs if you can.

Fwiw, I'm saving to move the wall in my lounge so it's rectangular.
