September stamp duty extension - silly question

CatAndHisKit · 30/06/2021 00:38

Does the Sept extension apply to properties with total value of up to 250K, or is there an exemption on the first 250K of any higher value property?
I've assumed the former, but maybe that's wrong?

It’s an exemption on the first £250k then 5% upto £925k.

The latter. A small consolation for those of us who tried our best but missed the June deadline.

Thank you - that's great, as I'm a seller ad may need to go back on the market, and mine is just over 250.

Sorry, Living it's a nightmare of a system. I was supposed to sell back in March latest.
