What tradesman do we need for this?

There’s a damp stain on our wall, as in the photo. It’s been there for ages but only became really noticeable when I painted the other week. It’s not wet to the touch, and there’s no damp problems in the house - I suspect that pipe there leaked a bit at some point. We’re selling so want to get it sorted before the survey but not entirely sure who we need to come and check it out?

If you are 100% sure that pipe is not leaking, try some sort of stain blocker and then paint over it again?

You need a plumber i think. They can check for leaks. I would put money on it being related to the pipe. It may just be condensation that’s spreading.

What's that pipe for & have you checked behind the cooker to see if it continues down the wall/below the skirting? If it's just historical then +1 to stain blocking paint.
