Hi all,

I hope you could help me if you know this area at St George's Grove behind Burntwood Lane school We are looking to rent a flat and we viewed one that looks fine but I feel the area is isolated.
Is there anything about this area that I should avoid it? Any problems with water/gas supply etc?

Is the area safe in general?

Thanks :)

It's in the middle of london why on earth would there be an issue with the gas or water supply?

Believe it or not some developments in SW London have weird contracts by managing companies set with specific water or gas companies that you can't change! E.g. New Mill in Hackbridge

It is a bit tucked away and a little distance to walk from either Burntwood Lane or Garratt Lane and not the “best” area of Earlsfield.

Will you be walking back from the station late at night regularly in the dark? Would that bother you?

It wouldn’t be my first choice within that area but I imagine the rent is cheaper than the traditional roads. Therefore, I do understand your comments about it being a bit isolated which it is in comparison to any of the other roads nearby. If it’s down to affordability so be it, if however it’s up on a par with rent say on Burntwood Lane or any of the roads off Garratt Lane I would much prefer one of those instead.
