Keep looking or not

Accepted offer on property about 6 weeks ago. Seller has finally had offer accepted on another property. Good news. But the bad news is those sellers are now looking for an onward property.

I had already started to look at other properties as my buyer is getting a bit snippy. Would you still keep looking? The chain may complete tomorrow or it might be another 6 weeks. Don't know what to do for best. So many areas slowed down it seems a risk either way.

6 weeks? My buyer has been waiting patiently for nearly 6 months!

How likely is it you could find another buyer? How much do you love the house you are buying? There’s no answer to the ‘how long is too long’ question - it just depends.

I know 6 weeks isn't long at the moment at all but I'm 4th along in chain already and knew seller was looking for very specific location. I think I would find another buyer easily as very little on market here and already had 1 person say if it falls through they would love first refusal.

Honestly not that fussed about the house itself but it was a good price for the location. Other houses are available but would mean compromise on both price and location. No idea how long person at bottom of chain has been waiting by now.

After two failed purchases I'm only ever going chain free again. Is no one willing to break chain and move in to rental or family?

We have looked into it but family don't have room. Rentals just as bad as where we want to buy is very popular area so rentals are going quickly. Just want to buy a house and move but so does everyone else it seems.
