Help conservatory window smashed

What the hell do we do? A rock flew up from the lawnmower and hit it. Now the glass has shattered and cracked in a million places and I'm worried that it's all going to fall out. It needs fixing but how? Do I call a double glazing xonpany or conservatory or house insurance first?

We had similar a couple of weeks ago but it was French windows not a conservatory. We called our local glass/window company. They came out, measured up and got a quote to us and are fitting next week.

I would try the same if you can. Don’t touch the glass or open any other windows or doors in the conservatory in the meantime.

The window is still in place!

If it’s a double glazed unit. ? Just knock all the broken glass out , it will only be the outside pane so it will still be water tight etc from the inside.
Put a old sheet down when you knock it out to collect all the bits of glass when you take it out.

You might be able to claim on your insurance, but depends on excess it might be cheaper to replace yourselves.

They should be able to just replace the glass unit. Your concern tonight is for security. Is it secure or do you need someone to come out to board it up?

Thanks all. We taped it and someone will fix in the next week or so. Just a massive shock if it's never happened before

You must have just been so unlucky and it hit a weakened spot / the corner. Hope the bill isn't too painful.
