If you have a gas aga- what other oven/s do you have?

We are renovating a house with a gas aga- which we want to use. I'd like a 2nd oven for use in summer, if we turn the aga off, or for more oven space. Do you have an electric oven, gas, double oven or just your aga?

We have just the aga in the place that we're currently renting. It does make the kitchen very warm in the summer but we don't have space for a separate oven.

Thanks both. During the renovations, we are adding insulation, and have no idea how hot the aga will make the kitchen. The aga person said that 70% of people turns theirs off during the summer now, so I'd need a 2nd cooking device.

We turn ours off and aim to have it off for a good 4-5 months depending on the weather. We always had a separate hob but the last owners just used to open the window to let heat out - which seems almost criminally wasteful!!! We used a BBQ the first summer but took out a cupboard and put in a Neff circotherm oven which I wouldn't be without.

We have an oil aga. We switch it off in the summer and use a rubbish old electric cooker with a broken grill. The plan is to add in a range cooker for summer use when we re-do the kitchen, but that's a while off yet!

We have an electric oven. This is the first summer in this house and my first aga. We just had to turn it off as south-facing kitchen was boiling.

We are planning a new kitchen in next year or 2 and I'm undecided - elec oven is fine but the cheap hob is crap. I thought it wouldn't bother me for the summer but 3 weeks in I hate it!
