Buyers mortgage company demanded a special survey and are now saying that they cannot lend until certain work is done. Buyer has offered to pay half of the cost quoted for the work, which is very nice of her. However, looking at the proposal, there are additional costs, removing a radiator, capping off the pipes, removing any electrical cables in the way, removing all flooring in one room. If it was me I would want to hire my own workmen for this, so I am thinking of offering another £600 to do the extras. Is that reasonable, too much or not enough in your opinion. It is not a very big house and only two rooms are affected one on top of the other.
