Buyers pulling out.

We wouldn't make the deadline but it wouldn't have affected my buyers or our onward purchase much due to price, but buyers selling more expensive house so their buyers getting a big discount.

Magically managed to find family to live with over the weekend to keep their buyers happy.

Just hope we can find some new buyers quickly and keep the upper chain together but who knows. Just feel like crying.

Unfortunately house buying is shit in England, we have had it happen three times. Twice with the same house.
Good luck with selling, in my road, 4 houses went up for sale on the same day - at least the boards appeared.
Two sold in one day, then another, then the last had SSTC put on the board on Saturday morning. All gone in the space of a week.
IMO, as long as you’re priced correctly you’ll sell.

I’m so sorry to hear that. Sucks.

It does suck indeed.

I'm hoping it does resell fairly quick but then even more delay with new buyers surveys, mortgages, searches etc. Nothing to say chain above won't now collapse as a result of more delay. No idea whether to tell seller or not just yet.

And really can't face tidying the place up again and having viewings again.

Sorry to hear that. We are going through something similar.

Our buyer pulled out (twice - we stupidly accepted their grovelling apology email) and heard over the weekend that our seller has gone back on the market (they held on the first time, but it was understandable).

However our EA has been super efficient at remarketing and get us some viewings straight away - I hope the same happens for you!!

The tidying and setting up for viewings is tiresome though, I completely agree.

We had buyers pulling out three times. Our seller patiently waited and we finally managed to find buyer who completed. Stressful times and loads of cleaning for viewings.

Well sellers agent called my agent for a progress update and my agent of course told them what had happened before I got a chance to tell them to try and hold off. My agent said we're going straight back on the market so has managed to negotiate a couple of weeks leeway for us to find another buyer. Going back on market tomorrow to give me a day or two to get sorted.

What a mess. DH being wonderful after a slightly teary session earlier. He went to the shops and bought some really good wine and I won't even look how many calories are in the dessert he bought for later.

It happened to me a few years ago, you have my every sympathy. My buyer had to pull out because he lost his buyer. A few weeks later he found another buyer but also found a ppty he wanted to buy instead of mine. The sellers rejected his offer so he re-offered on mine. A few weeks later those sellers decided to accept his offer after all so he withdrew his offer on my house (on my birthday!). I did find another buyer a few weeks later though. Enjoy the wine and the dessert!

What will it take to change the system in this country?? Have the politicians never been in a chain?
