Hi all,
My wife and I are considering moving to East Finchley. During our property search we've noticed that houses on the so called "county roads" (e.g. Leicester Road, Lincoln Road, etc.) are quite a bit more expensive than the houses in most other parts of East Finchley. For example, house prices on Leicester Road are usually above ~1M pounds (www.rightmove.co.uk/house-prices/n2/leicester-road.html), while in central East Finchley (e.g. Elmfield Road, Long Lane) they are 30-50% less (www.rightmove.co.uk/house-prices/n2/elmfield-road.html). This price difference seems to hold even for houses of comparable quality. Is there a reason why the "county roads" are more expensive? Is it just a successful estate agent scheme?
Thanks in advance!
