Paint recommendations please?

We’ll hopefully be picking up the keys to our first proper home in August. I’m starting to think about decorating, mainly just painting at this stage as I’ve never tackled wallpaper before. Can anyone please recommend a good paint brand. I want to paint the bedroom in a tasteful pink shade. I like Farrow and Ball calamine but not the price. Has anyone come across a similar colour in another cheaper range?

You can get nearly any shade colour matched by Dulux by taking it to a trade counter and asking them to do so. I had Paint & Paper Library (ruinously expensive) shades matched perfectly recently. Dulux paint is good to use & wears well.

Decorating centre online are amazing , they match almost any colour and the paint quality is fantastic

DH is a decorator, he likes Dulux and Johnstone's best. He says Crown is too splashy. He's worked with F&B and just said it was OK.

Johnstone’s is the best I’ve found. Think they do colour match too

Thanks for the replies. I’ll have a look at the links. I’m off to Homebase tomorrow and will pick up some Dulux and Johnstone’s colour charts.
