I am signing a property deed and I want to ask I have used my first name signature only generally and i have put this on the passport but official documents like bank I used my full name .The solicitors have my passport and my hubby says signing the way you have signed on passport is safer .But I wish to sign my full name .Am I getting insane ?

Ask your solicitor.
How did you get a passport without your full name though?

surely it should be your normal signature, the way you usually sign cheques, contracts, driving licence, passport, will?

then if someone sees a purported signature that does not match, they can say "that's not the way gg signs"

Yes definitely check with your solicitor.

Your signature should be the same on everything so I dont know how you have different signatures on different documents?

So sometimes you sign your name 'Jane' and sometimes 'J Smith'? Odd - why? Confused
