The most elusive toilet seat ever!

Really hoping for some help as I've scoured so many sites and shops. We inherited this toilet seat with the house and we just can't seem to source one that fits the pan.
Would anyone have any ideas what shape this would be classed as?

Have a look at Screwfix.

Oh hell, don't get me started on unavailable toilet seats! I have a degree in the subject!

We actually got rid of one toilet because we could not get a toilet seat to fit, the toilet had been bought online from Better Bathrooms but they don't do replacement toilet seats. And I honestly could not get anything that fitted.
We have another D shaped one and we are on our third toilet seat and none of them fit properly, the latest was expensive and it just doesn't fit, it is bottom fixing and not stable.

Yours looks to be oval. Is it top fixing or bottom fixing? Makes a difference. Have a look at this one.

Roussette · 17/06/2021 16:09

Sorry, should say, it isn't bottom fixing... but top fixing. The worst kind

www.choicereplacementtoiletseatshop.co.uk/shop-by-shape let's you search by shape and check measurements.

We were also close to replacing a square loo because we couldn't find a seat to fit

It looks similar to an Ideal Space, although the 'Space' is round in appearance.
That looks quite oval.

It may not even be the original toilet seat either.

Looks round to me, like this

What are the dimensions?

Looks like a bog standard one to me Wink

Gatekeeper · 18/06/2021 12:40

With the one I had I ended drawing a template of the seat and hawking it round shops, hardware places until I found one to match

Roussette · 18/06/2021 13:15

Trouble is... the seat we have was the nearest we could get... not perfect but the third one we've got so have given up! The trouble is the top fix fittings are not stable. I have more fittings that you can shake a stick at.
The seat we have at the moment... when you lift the lid, the fittings lift up too.

Sorry to hijack the thread OP.

I'm honestly at the stage of buying a new toilet, it's ridiculous.

There is a local-ish plumbers merchants, might try them as you advise @Hannahcolobus but if the fittings don't work, what's the point 🤣
