What happened to sofa workshop and where do I buy my sofa now?

I've always bought my sofas from Sofa Workshop, but I noticed that they got sold last year and now the style is very different - a lot less Loaf and a lot more DFS. Has anyone else noticed?

I can't see anything I like, so where can I get my sofas now? Loaf sofas look beautiful but I've found their quality lacking in furniture in the past. What do you recommend?

Oh no, I loved Sofa Workshop! I bought 2 from them a couple of years ago, hope they last the 20+ years the last 2 did.

British company and they last for decades. Good prices too. Only downside is you can't try before you buy unless you can get to South Wales.

I regretted not buying from them this last time and now I'm having to replace our sofa within 5 years.

The person who setup Sofa Workshop has set up SofasandStuff. I didn't realise this til I'd been to look at their sofas, then read about them.

Sofas seemed decent - we're planning to buy one! They have a few stores around for you to sit on the sofas (I wouldn't spend that amount of money without!)

I was going to say SofaSofa too. The service and quality are excellent.

Avoid sofology - the seat on ours collapsed within a few months and customer service has been a nightmare

I've been looking at John Lewis, and they have a couple of design your own that are aesthetically pleasing.

Another vote for Oak Furniture Land. I bought a 3 seater last year for around £550 as it was end of season and in the sale. I don't know your style, but the Montgomery and Houston are both nice. Some of them look a bit DFS but there definitely a few that stand out. I think they are all hardwood frames too which is another plus. I have to add their service and delivery was fantastic! I ordered in April but didn't need it until September in the end as I was still renovating. They let you choose a delivery day so I ended up changing the day several times as the renovations kept being delayed. During this time the price dropped lower than what I originally paid (£750 to £550) because of the sale and I sent them an email asking to have the price decreased for my order as it hadn't been delivered yet which they did. The sofa itself seems good quality and is very comfortable.

Prices look really good for sofasofa. Looking for a good quality classic sofa, so following.

@ElizabethTudor Yes, I got a sofa bed and the quality was excellent. It was a decent mattress and the covers were washable, but also very easy to get replacement covers too.

You can’t really see the mattresses properly on the website nor is there any info about the thickness on the website. So it’s good to hear from someone who has one!

We love our Lounge co sofa!!
