Hi all! I am new to the area and would like to know what it is like to live at Twickenham while having to drive across the Richmond Bridge every day to Richmond?
Thank you very much!

It’s been a while since I lived there but if you can use the A316 I think you’d be better off. If there’s one snag on the bridge or one way system everything stops.

There are 2 bridges, one on A316 and other one is A305. You could also walk, cycle, bus or train . All very easy.

Thanks! will traffic going the other way from Richmond to Twickenham be less congested?

It depends where you live in Twickenham but the traffic into Richmond is notoriously congested. When they were building the new Lidl/Primary School and the drains were blocked for months it could take 45 minutes. Alternatives are the A316 which can also be very slow. Some days it is fine but its usually very slow during the school holidays/lockdown. Richmond to Twickenham can be just as bad depending on the time of day etc. Downside for living in such a fabulous area!
