Moving to Panbgbourne

Hi All,
We are a professional family planning a relocation to Pangbourne this summer, with two kids aged 4 and 6, and I am keen to make it a success! School places won't be assigned until we have moved so I'd like to proactively explore ways of meeting locals, both adult and child, and get the kids booked into some good activities (gymnastics, tennis, swimming, local clubs...) and get started on making friends.
Any tips from recent movers on how to get stuck in and best nearby clubs / facilities ?
Thank you

My in-laws live in nearby Goring, and you are moving to a beautiful part of the world. It has lots of very nice pubs, restaurants and lots to do. You will love it..

Thank you @cliftongreenyork !!
Goring looked amazing but unfortunately no houses to be found in our price range / timing. If your inlaws have tips I am very open - : )
