Bookcases

I'n trying to replace grotty old Ikea bookcases, I wanted oak bookcases with shelves above and doors on the bottom. I didn't realise that would be so difficult. Anyone got any ideas where I can get these as its looking like only Ikea make anything the right size - everything Google brings up is really narrow or with completely pointless cupboards on the bottom that won't hold anything anyway. I've looked at dressers but they also seem to just be made up of tiny cupboards and draws. It appears that most people don't use storage to actually store anything unless they shop at Ikea!

Well, I’d assume most people would get that kind of thing custom-built, if it’s not easily available?

I've been looking for a bookcase for a long time myself. Just bought one recently from wayfair.co.uk
I must say I'm impressed with the quality of my oak bookcase and shipping was within couple of days.

If you have no luck an alternative is to look at IKEA billybookcase hacks, Or whatever book case you got from them, You can get doors from IKEA that fit them either full or half length. I found out after chopped half my down and using wood to make wall shelves in another room

We bought John Lewis Abacus bookcases, oak with doors on the bottom and are really happy with them.
