do integrated ovens need space at the back?

Hi

Does anyone know if an integated oven can be almost touching the wall behind it?

I've ordered an oven which is 575 deep. It says it needs a 555 housing. My housing is 560+the drawer front underneath is 15 so the oven will be flush with the drawer which is underneath when installed....but it will be about 1mm from the wall at the back. No where in its manual can see anything about needing ventilation space. It's a sharp one. Anyone know anything about leaving space behind ovens?

Thank you!

I don't follow. It says it needs a 555 housing and yours is 560, so surely you should be fine?

@CasperGutman here's hoping! It's just weird how a 575 oven can go in a 555 housing but hopefully it is that simple!

I wonder if the 575mm figure is the overall depth for transport and storage, including the handles?

It may be that the 570mm deep includes the door which doesn't sit inside the unit?

If you download the installation manual you'll probably see a measurement showing the depth from the front of the oven to the back with a second measurement showing the depth of the door.

And you'll definitely need some gap somewhere for ventilation.
