Our house is built in a cottage style so the ceilings upstairs in the bedrooms start their slope upwards about 1.5m from the floor. So vertical wall for 1.5m then slope starts. The majority of the ceiling is flat.
We have dormer windows.
As the attic is so lacking in height we don’t store anything up there, it’s just too difficult to move about in.
I’ve been musing about taking the ceiling out of our bedroom and having it open to the rafters. Obviously there will be beams running across side to side.
How feasible would it be to have this done? The room is about 20ft x 15ft (at floor level).
