New build delays

Hello there
We were due to get our new build this year in March and after multiple delays by the company (Bellway) we will get to move in August. Fingers crossed. I'm looking to write an angry email to them but dont know where to start - obviously the delay has caused a number of problems such as having to pay extra rent on our current accommodation, apply for mortgage multiple times etc.
Experienced people, what needs to be included in writing, do you think?

When did you exchange? What was the long stop date in the contract? (It's usually c. 6 months after anticipated completion at time of exchange.) Being honest, this is exactly what happens with a new build unless it's already built when you purchase.

We went to look at a new build a fortnight ago the sales woman told us to go into rented or live with family because it will be delayed and any buyer we had would probably ditch the sale on our house.

It’s definitely not unusual for delays to occur.

It seems to be the norm tbh with new builds op sadly. I don’t know anyone who’s been in on their first given date
