Morning! We’re starting to look at designing our kitchen. We have been and had one design done and are booking in a second at another company.

Just wondering - how much worktop space does everyone have what’s the norm? Thanks.

Hiya, I don't know about the norm but in our new kitchen we'll have a c. 2m island worktop, and about 4/5 cupboards' worth on the kitchen area opposite it. So Defo not loads but I think enough.

There isn't a 'norm' - it entirely depends on how much space you have!!!

i went for as much worktop as i could get as our kitchen isnt huge, so went for L shape with sink in corner long run of worktop so i could have the kettle and coffee machine near the sink and microwave at the other end, then have a free standing gas cooker than a 1000mm unit with a worktop so i have the toaster and airfriyer up that corner and a decent worktop run in the centre for plating up and food prep
