Absolutely stupid question re fitted kitchen delivery

Right we have done all the hard work - planning, buying, booked fitter (and electrician, painter, tiler etc..)

All white goods now delivered (and in living room!)

Jobs starts on Monday (whoop!!) and units are due to be delivered the same day.

As we have all the electricals - hob, oven, micro, dishwasher etc .. plus tiles etc ... my question is how many boxes will the "actual" kitchen units come in? I don't imagine it's one door, hinge, drawer per box but I may be wrong

Anyone got any idea of how many "boxes" to expect for an smallish (4m x4m) standard (think B&Q, Homebase etc..) standard kitchen?

Need to clear space but not sure how much

Thanks in advance!

Mine (DIY Kitchens) came assembled, so large packages, end panels, plinth, cornice, lighting pelmet and appliance doors wrapped individually. Plus a box with unit feet, hinges etc. I had it all go in the garage.

Thanks! No garage - so hoping a cleared living room will do!

If it comes flat packed (e.g. Ikea) expect lots of boxes that are easily stackable.

If it comes assembled (e.g. Howdens) then it will take up the same amount of space as the assembled kitchen pretty much, plus extra for work tops, fittings.

Our kitchen is 3x6 and ours is also being fitted on Monday. The worktops are 3m long, so stored in the garage. The cupboards have filled approximately 2.5x2.5m in a spare room, with some boxes being almost ceiling height.

@countdowntonap - yikes! Thanks for that - will clear more space now. Hope your fitting goes well too
