Surveyor's report roof

We've finally had a report from the surveyor regarding fire damage in the loft. He says trusses / beams need replacing. Estimated cost of £10000. What do we do next?

I guess it depends whether the house was priced with the fire damage taken into consideration?

If it wasn't then you could negotiate a discount.

Renegotiate. Generally you should expect to get at least half of the cost of the work in price reduction, or they may want to do the work, but that would inevitably involve delays. I'd also get an actual quote from a roofer first.
