Wall mounted taps

Does anyone have wall mounted shower/bath/basin taps? What are the pros and cons? Does the cleaning ruin the tiles etc? Thanks x

If anything goes wrong, i.e. leaks, you potentially won't know for some time. Plus you could have to remove the plasterboard and tiling to access the connections. If you do it, have the pipework behind a removable panel.
