How to tone down orange fence panels

So our neighbours have erected new fence panels which sit on the boundary between our properties. The fence panels are that bright orange as is common in new fence panels. The main view from our back room where we hang out are these fence panels. Has anyone had success with staining fence panels to tone down or neutralise the orange? We don't want to paint as then we'd have to paint all our other fence panels to match and that's too big a job plus we like the colour of our other panels.

You'll have to ask them first as they've put it up so presumably own it. I wouldn't bother with staining. They fade quite quickly and become less in your face.

As has already been said they fade fairly quickly but you legally cannot touch them without permission
