Can I put new sliding doors on existing wardrobe?

Hi guy,

I have a wardrobe with 2 sliding doors. The doors have glass and cracked during a move. Didnt think to replace until now and seen wickes and b and q do sliding doors and track sets.

Does anyone know if I can buy the doors and tracksets and add it to my existing wardrobe (standalone not fitted). Also how easy is it to do -would I need a tradesperson.

So question is: can i replace my current sliding doors (not purchased from wickes or b and q) with sliding doors and trackset from wickes or b and q. If so can I DIY or will I need a tradesperson?

TIA x

yes definitely, we've done it- we got a joiner to do it as part of further work (eg building new shelves into the wardrobe and so on). My husband thinks it would be doable for a competent DIYer but not totally straightforward- we plan to get a joiner back to do the other ones as well!

We put old doors on a new IKEA wardrobe. Was doable as a DIY job, just measure to make sure it works.

Thank you. This is good to know! Will try to source someone to put it up and buy from wickes (currently on sale lol)
