Boring question I know... but need some inspiration.... which do you prefer: french doors, patio doors or bi folds? Thank you.

depends on context & how it fits with the rest of the house. not normally keen on bi-folds.

French doors or bi-fold (more expensive).

Patio doors often slide over each other and in these situations the 'opening' is only half the size. Hope that makes sense - I know what I mean!

Depending on the house.. french doors if they are timber and in keeping with the date of the property. Bifolds on a more modern house.

1930s house. Swaying towards french doors. Half tempted by bifolds.

Hate bifokds. French doors or I'm very swayed by crittal style.

for an older house, French windows.

I can't disagree. Especially if a person is poorly versed in design, then it is really better to contact such specialists who will tell and perform this work. Recently, my neighbors read about windows and doors Markham on the windowtechcanada.ca/markham-windows-and-doors/ website. They said they were offered several window options, one of which was subsequently installed.

We got sliding as not really room to fold bifolds back, so sliding gives us more patio and floor space inside. We’ve got a dog so constantly opening them and not really room for a traffic door. Friend in south east has them and when open they are fabulous…..up here in north west we’d open fully only a few weeks a year.

Ours look wow.

French on an older property bifolds on a modern, not patio ever..
