I got my environmental and drains search back in two working days (sw London). My solicitor ordered it last Thursday and today gave me a summarisation (trying to meet stamp duty deadline). Local search will take another week or so though, but I'm impressed!

Disappointingly that's a standard turnaround time from the search providers as those ones are largely desktop. Good that your getting the info as it comes in - I can never work out the logic of dumping all the info on people just before you expect them to exchange. Fingers crossed things go smoothly.

Ah well still happy as I'm getting the survey fine tomorrow and it raised a couple issues for the surveyor to be mindful of (high risk of ground movement, though to be fair looking at the report that seems to be most of London!) And surface water flood risk. Though there hasn't been a flood in 100 years, still listed as moderate to high 🤔.
