Dining Table

I posted this in decoration but didn’t get any luck. Has anyone had a metal topped dining table they love?

We are in the process of buying a house and would really like to treat ourselves to a new dining table when we finally get the keys! I stayed in a holiday cottage a couple of years ago and fell in love with the zinc topped table by Architectural Antiques they had.I’m hesitating because they’re very expensive so didn’t want to make a big mistake. Has anyone ever had a metal topped dining table? Part of the attraction is the marks and scuffs seem to add to the patina. Our new dining room is a casual space just off the kitchen area so isn’t a proper formal room. Is it a good idea or will I regret it?

I looked a lot into brass and copper ones. Decided against as I worried about scratches. We're going for a fancy base instead and wood top. I saw some non wood ones somewhere I think it was barker stone house or furniture village. Not sure they were metal though. Good luck with it!
