Hi, we are due to exchange contracts this week, our chain consists of -
Buy to let buyer - our buyer - us - house we are purchasing.
So we were all ready but have been advised that on our buyers sale there is a ‘supposed missing page on the copy of the plan from the Land Registry’
Does anyone have any experience of this? So worried now that the chain is going to fall apart.
I’ve done a bit of Googling but can’t find anything and surely when our buyer bought their property this was flagged if it’s actually missing!
Oh the stress!
Thanks, any words of wisdom appreciated good and bad!!

Surely the solicitors will deal with this. Nothing you can do.

Bet there's a indemnity insurance that can cover it though.

The one we bought last year was last sold under a different land registry system (can’t remember exactly, but we’re only the 3rd owners in 80+ years so it was a while ago) and it wasn’t on their records properly. Solicitors sorted it, but it did take a while; our buyers pulled out for something else (they had a survey on our 18th century cottage that said, basically, it was an 18th century cottage and they wanted something that looked cute but surveyed like a new-build, I think) but we found a cash buyer fairly quickly and it did all work out. Fingers crossed for you.
