Support thread - the countdown to June 30th.... will we /won’t we make it???

So next week is June and the date is looming large! Wiltshire council are being particularly slow and searches not due back till 14th. Offer accepted early March.

36 days and counting between me moving house and a new kitchen and me moving house and saving hard to buy a kitchen in about 2 years time.

Anyone else being to feel the desperation kicking in just to all it all done and dusted!

Congratulations @StrongTeaDropOfMilkNoSugar

Didicat · 12/06/2021 08:11

@StrongTeaDropOfMilkNoSugar Hurrah! Fingers crossed for a smooth completion for you.

@wolfwalk we are planning to complete but seeing as we are in rental not planning to move to July and even then we are hiring a van and doing it ourselves as only moving 15 minutes down the road.

@StrongTeaDropOfMilkNoSugar yey congrats!!!

Cocoaone · 12/06/2021 11:11

You will never guess what arrived in the post ladies!

We’ve received all the contract stuff for the purchase!! Have skimmed and all seems fine, so basically ready to go - just need to return all the forms, send solicitor the deposit and then we can talk dates.

Might still be some delays if the sellers dither signing the forms (probate property), but there is hope!
I'm so happy I nearly cried 😂

Dinosauraddict · 12/06/2021 12:04

Well done @StrongTeaDropOfMilkNoSugar ! And @Cocoaone that is fab news. Nearly there!!

Dinosauraddict · 12/06/2021 12:05

Hope your husband is ok @coffeequeenindevon - and I have everything crossed that 28th becomes 'the date'!

Mumelie · 12/06/2021 13:50

@StrongTeaDropOfMilkNoSugar @Cocoaone fab news 👏🏼 all going in the right direction.

We've just been to see the new house - not seen it since December - it's certainly encouraged us to be up for pushing this through. We are aiming for completion on the 21st

coffeequeenindevon · 12/06/2021 14:16

Thank you @Dinosauraddict.

Great news @Cocoaone!

Gettingonabitnow · 13/06/2021 07:10

Great news @Cocoaone! Take it you’re sending it back special delivery?? 😂

Next few days are going to be big for us. I’m barely eating it’s taking over my whole life. I can normally manage stress ok but this is just awful.

coffeequeenindevon · 13/06/2021 09:31

I am exactly the same @Gettingonabitnow. I have a very stressful job but am normally fine about managing it all. I think it’s a control thing. I don’t feel I can do anything to ease this situation and that is making it worse. I’ve written about four emails to the EA this weekends to pass onto our buyers and am probably now looking desperate (I am!). The emails try to clarify a few things their solicitor is sitting on and impress the point that their solicitor is misleading them by saying we only provided the documentation on the house last week when it was sent in April. I constantly feel sick.

Panda368 · 13/06/2021 09:32

Our purchase contracts arrived yesterday so today will be spent getting docs witnessed.

We went for a walk to look at the house yesterday and met a neighbour who seemed nice, she’d lived there since 1965. Seeing the house made me so bloody desperate to get everything done so we can get in and sip gin in our sunny new garden.

Fingers crossed our buyers rentcharge certificate comes through as promised on Monday/Tuesday and we can get moving.

Gettingonabitnow · 13/06/2021 09:35

@coffeequeenindevon same. I’ve just drafted an email ready to send to our solicitor first thing Monday. My DH is sick of talking about it and is generally a fair more laid back person than I am.

That’s good @Panda368! I haven’t been to see ours since, I can’t bear it.

BrieCrackers · 13/06/2021 09:51

We had our sale contracts through yesterday and got these signed and returned to the solicitors office by hand. We signed and returned our purchase contracts a couple of weeks ago. Does this mean we’re close?! Does this mean our buyers solicitor is happy with everything and ready to exchange?

Gettingonabitnow · 13/06/2021 10:46

@BrieCrackers hopefully yeah! But just brace yourself for delays and other last minute crap, but it might all go smoothly x

Cocoaone · 13/06/2021 12:06

@Gettingonabitnow - I will be hand delivering first thing in the morning!

Just transferred our deposit over. Need to set a completion date, and I'm going to be very hopeful and put 23/24th June... (we aren't in a chain)

Dinosauraddict · 13/06/2021 13:36

Sounds like a lot of people are seeing progress over the last few days which is great. DH and I have spent all today bubble wrapping art and mirrors etc in advance of this week's big move.

coffeequeenindevon · 13/06/2021 18:12

Decided sitting around wallowing and not wanting to tempt fate was disastrous yesterday so I have spent today moving boxes into my in-laws garage. Five car loads dispatched. I figure it’s cost me nothing, I have had a damn good workout and I haven’t spent the day worrying.

Good luck for tomorrow everyone. A BIG week ahead.

Dinosauraddict · 13/06/2021 19:51

Sensible @coffeequeenindevon - well done!

Didicat · 13/06/2021 21:20

So by my counting we are down to 13 working days left......

@coffeequeenindevon I wish I could get some motivation to pack, well done in doing so much in this hot weather!

StrongTeaDropOfMilkNoSugar · 13/06/2021 21:23

Thanks everyone. Now that we didn’t feel it was tempting fate any longer, we visited the village we’re moving to yesterday and it all started to feel very real.

Good luck next week everyone. I have everything crossed for you!

Cocoaone · 13/06/2021 22:23

Sending everyone's buyers, sellers, estate agents and solicitors a great big kick up the bum for this week!

Gettingonabitnow · 14/06/2021 06:42

Big week ladies, good luck everyone. I feel sick! X

Panda368 · 14/06/2021 08:56

I dreamed last night our solicitor told us she had decided to go on holiday from Friday 18th.

Clearly the stress dreams are starting. 🙈

FerretFumbler · 14/06/2021 09:25

Still waiting on our seller’s enquiries. 2 weeks and counting now.
I also have stress dreams!!Confused

Mumelie · 14/06/2021 10:30

@Gettingonabitnow so do I! Last night I got that 'back to work at a horrible job' feeling and very little sleep.
Our amazing solicitor was on the case before 9am today - remains to be seen if our buyers solicitor even acknowledges it before Thursday!
We need 6 working days to draw down mortgage funds - 🤞🏼 it can be done by next Monday. No idea about buyers mortgage
