Help me with relocating!! Warsop vale

Hello,

I’d really appreciate any help. I am looking at relocating from down south to around nottingham- Mansfield. I will be coming up north for a few weekends to try find an area suitable for me and my son.

I have found a lovely house in Warsop vale, does anyone know what this area is like?

I am looking for a quiet, safe, rural place to live with my toddler with good schools. We won’t know anyone when we move, so it would be nice if there were a few things we could do to meet new people too.

Thanks in advance

Warsop/Worksop aren't really very well thought of though there are some very nice substantial properties in the area. It's ex-mining which has challenges but people do choose to live there.

Thank you, I wasn’t aware of this so you may have saved me a journey. The house isn’t built yet so I’ll give them a call tomorrow an ask how close they are to the old sites. I am hoping as it is a new build they would have considered this and have regulations to meet.

If you want somewhere nice I would do the villages around Binghsm but not Cotgrave - ex-,mining again and Toot Hill is a good secondary school. Ravenshead is nice though a lot of people tend not to send their children to the allocated secondary school. Newstead Village has new builds but don't be sucked in as it's a very ex-mining culture. Until recently you could buy a house for £14k!
