Garden designs

We're in the process of meeting builders for our renovation and extension work.

Our bifolds from the kitchen look over our front garden and the valley beyond (there is no back garden as such - the house is built on a really steep hill and it's at the back of the plot).

I haven't put any thought so far into things like flooring (apart from wanting engineered wood - we have it now and it's fab) but I really want that seamless flooring to outside.

I also need to think about the decking and patio area outside including the steps down to the garden, walls etc. All my energy has been spent designing the extension so I've neglected the garden.

I don't want to ask the architect (£££) and Pinterest isn't helping me at all!

How can I get the garden of my dreams when I am clueless!! DH is pretty clueless to be fair.

Should have said that the garden is 2-3ft below the house level.

I just don't have a vision of how I want it to look. I don't know where to start!

You thought about a landscape gardener?

I have no idea how much they cost!
