DeVol kitchens

Hi, just in early stages of kitchen planning, was going to go for either Harvey Jones or Tom Howley when I came across this company www.devolkitchens.co.uk

Any experience? I’m tempted by the hand painted pretty flowers inside open cupboards option, but not sure the taps etc are a bit too oldy worldy.....

I've only heard and seen very very good things about devol kitchens! @nikandcarolehome on Instagram have a devol kitchen and it is gorgeous

Their country showroom is gorgeous and worth a visit.

We have a DeVOL kitchen and it was a very pleasant experience, but I would recommend using their fitters, not your own. Ours made a mess of it and we had to get them to come out and fix it.

Far better than Tom Howley or Harvey Jones

Devol is bespoke to order so if you don’t like the tap ask for them to fit a tap you do like

If they aren’t flexible on design then speak to an independent cabinet makers who would make you exactly the same kitchen for probably a lot less money because they haven’t got the marketing spend of a company like devol

DeVol is the kitchen of dreams! I'm getting my joiner to make a knock off 🤣

I love the Devol kitchens but have decided on an Alexander Lewis kitchen (Market Harborough) when I need to change mine. Every time I’ve looked at a house on Rightmove and loved the kitchen, it has always been an Alexander Lewis kitchen.

If anyone is in Buckinghamshire or Hertfordshire I can recommend Luke Jone furniture for bespoke designed hand made kitchens

I found them very affordable compared to the well known outfits that advertise in the times and have posh shops

Mumblechum0 · 16/05/2021 11:05

Thanks so much everyone! I do like the look of them as they don’t look too “standard” iykwim.

Actually @barnabyted, I’m in Bucks so I will take a look at Luke Jone too 😊

I love DeVol kitchens - their catalogue is wonderful but we couldn’t afford them. We also looked at both Tom Howley and Harvey Jones - again very expensive so we have ordered a bespoke kitchen from Handmade Kitchens of Christchurch but will not have any hand painted flowers inside the doors - may have to investigate having that done😉

Thanks all! We’re going to visit the Loughborough showroom next month (making a weekend of it).

I’m justifying the cost, though haven’t got any quotes yet, by thinking We’ve been in our current house for 22 years and still have the original kitchen. We’l be here till we pop off, so may as well get something which will see us out as my gran would say 😃.

The very first kitchen that comes up from the link is Pearl Lowe's kitchen! (The one with the big black island). I love Devol kitchens (though I'd just get a copy made)
