Bugs - please tell me they’re not woodworm beetles!

Hello MNers

NC for this, but I’ve been around a while.

We’ve found some bugs in the house. Sad I’m panicking.

Please tell me they’re not woodworm. The house has been treated for woodworm in the 70s, but we’ve recently had a new roof fitted so wondering if we’ve disturbed anything.

I’ve attached some photos. If you have any ideas of what these could be, or any tips on getting rid of them, I would be extremely grateful.

They look a lot like the "drugstore beetles" we had in our spice cupboard. Very small and crawled around. They are a common pantry cupboard pest.

But I am no bug identifying expert.

We had them in Canada.

Where did you find them? They look like biscuit beetles.

They do look like woodworm beetles but then so do lots of things (apparently). Are they congregating on the windows/windowsills? That's what WW beetles do

We’ve found a few upstairs but we don’t eat in the bedroom so I have no idea what they’re there. There is definitely none in the food cupboards.

None on windows or windowsills.

Carpet beetles maybe? We had them under our bed in our super damp flat.

Thank you - I really appreciate the thoughts on what they could be! My husband is emailing pictures to a pest control service. I’m feeling utterly miserable about the situation! I have no idea where they’re coming from.

Okay.

Plan A) after reading various threads on here is to spray with Indorex and to get the pest control person to come and have a look.

Plan B) sell the stupid house.
