What’s the market like in the South East?

We are an hour on the train from London in the SE in a nice small city near the coast. We thought about selling last year but didn’t and estate agent has called today promising CRAZY money for our house and a fast sell.

Sound promising, might be estate agent guff, also sounds stressful. Sellers/buyers - what are your experiences at the moment?

I'm selling on SE Coast and buying in London. My agent tells me they are manic, with some properties not even hitting rightmove before being sold. Rental is the same. Both are due to low stock and pent up demand I guess, plus it is the busy time of year anyway. I doubt most people would make the stamp duty deadline but things haven't slowed down.

Home Counties here but it's a bit crazy. Things having one day of viewings and then getting acceptable offers, some before they even get advertiser. But it suddenly seems to be slowing down - our buyers withdrew their offer yesterday, but thank god a previous offer still hadn't found anywhere six weeks later so upped their offer and jumped at the chance. Seems very unstable at the moment.

We do want a bigger place in the next few years as we have another baby on the way but I dunno, sounds a bit manic! We would have done it last year but wanted to wait for the pandemic to settle down. I thought nothing was going on the market but sounds like it’s just not being advertised!

Manic , we have a buyer and accepted an offer but cannot find anything to buy , nearly everything sold and nothing new coming onto the market

Sorry should have said we are Sussex

We are in Tunbridge Wells and the market is insane. Lots of things aren't even hitting the market and if they do are selling within hours/days....!
