False beams: any experiences

Anyone has any experience with false beams and can share pictures? We are having some work done and considering our options, so any thoughts will be gratefully received.

That's quite a statement look! How old is your house?
The only time I could see myself using them is if I were extending an old cottage and I wanted the extension to have a similar atmosphere to the original house.
But it's not very "honest" it?

Yep, point taken! Property is not old so we will just paint the trusses...something like the attached!

I wouldn’t do it, unless I lived in a spider free house. Which, sadly, I do not.

Taking down cobwebs on a daily basis is a big annoyance.

It will be fun dealing with cobwebs 🤣 but really don’t fancy another standard box room in the house!
