How to find past rent prices/listings?

Searching for a flat in an area that has a crazy amount of demand. Trying to find past listings for rentals for estate agents. In the vain hope that if a flat let for 1 year last June, that it may be coming back up again soon.

Not many flats come up, so hard to gauge a price. I’ve seen studios for £1500 and gorgeous two beds for £1400!

Anyone know how to find past estate agents rental listings?
Or past rental prices?

My experience as a landlord is the agents get in touch at least two months before end of any tenancy to find out if the tenants want to renew or the landlord wants to remarket. Renewals are bread and butter to them so they are on top of it. Best thing is to register with agents and emphasise how you are an amazing tenant!
