Building control inspectors

Has anyone had experience using Storma or London Building Control to book an approved building inspector to sign off the building control for building work? Lots of companies on google but would rather go with reccomendations! (Won’t be using my local authority due to delays)

What type of delays are there? Is there a big difference in price?

No so far not that much difference in price in fact they come in at the same cost as two other companies.

A neighbour of mine recently used our local authority to carry out the inspections and they took a lot longer than it should do due to staff shortages
