South Normanton Vs Ravenshead

Dear all,

I work in Kings Mill Hospital and I am looking to move closer to my work place. I have a 2 yo so looking in decent drive from workplace plus a good school for him in future. We have seen a lovely house in South Normanton which fits every need of ours and one in Ravenshead which needs some work doing , which we have funds available for. South Normanton house is cheaper as well. This is not going to be our permanent home and we plan to move after 6-7 years. Which is a better place to live in considering schools, crime etc. Any experience of anyone who may have lived in both places or considered them both ?

I work near there and would say Ravenshead is a much nicer area than South Normanton. It’s easier to get to Nottingham from there too if you want some city life.

KMH is accessible from a fair few villages using the A38 and about half an hour from areas in North Notts is you want to be more rural?

Ravenshead is posh. South Normanton definitely isn't!!
