We have light brown/grey lines down our bath, particularly the shower end. I've tried rubbing really hard and limescale remover. Any other ideas please?

Magic eraser. I have cleared the most ground in dirt with limescale with one of those bad boys. No chemicals needed but you will still need a good scrub.

Do you think it's limescale? If so, I'd dip some paper towels in a citric acid solution and stick them to the limescale, leave for a few hours, and it should then scrub off more easily. If that doesn't work, the same progress with vinegar.

Pink stuff paste and a scrub daddy.

Is it an iron bath? How old?

What county are you in?

What colour is the scale in your kettle?

Yep pink stuff is amazing for this type of thing.

Is it enamelled? I think the coating can come off and it makes it look awful.

Liquid brasso would be worth a try
