Accepted an offer on my house 4 weeks ago and put an offer on a house in probate. Told it would be 8 weeks for probate. Also told the buyers had a decision in principle and it would be straightforward. 4 weeks later and their mortgage advisor still has not put through their proper application - turns out bf has a CCJ (he claims it is a mistake but has now been taken off the mortgage application). Also being told they have to go on the electoral roll, this would happen May 1 automatically. Now told today there is some hold up and the cant put the mortgage offer in til next week.
I have to go away next week, and told the EA that i want the house back on the market if the buyers dont have things sorted by then. Now wondering if I should do it straight away (they have not had a survey yet). I dont want to jeopardize my purchase but I also dont want to be a jerk about this as I know mortgage apps for FTB can be tricky.
