Selling in July?

Hoping for some advice. First time sellers.
We are hoping to put our house on the market at the end of July. We have a couple of jobs to finish before hand and have some weekends away booked in.
We have 3 children and have a 10 night holiday booked for 25th July.
What would your thoughts be on marketing the house the week before the holiday and allowing EA to do the viewings whilst were away?
I don’t mind being contacted whilst away, and it will mean the house will be clean, tidy and the children will be out of the way for viewings. I can have a big clean before we go and it saves tidying before every viewing. I’m assuming we will get some 😂

My thoughts were that I could inform the EA what offer we would accept, and say we’re happy to be contacted for any questions.

Is there anything else I need to be thinking about or is this a really bad idea? I’m happy to leave keys for my sister and parents as well so they’re around if need be.

TIA

Great idea. We sold a house whilst on holiday once - took all the stress out of viewings.

Great idea. With the added benefit of having a beautifully tidy house to come home to after your holidays!!

Thanks both. I think I will do it. I can have a good de-clutter over the next couple of months too. Got lots of baby toys to get rid of that they’ve grown out of too. Exciting times ahead!

Great idea, I'd definitely do this.
