Hi,
Our sellers pulled out of the sale last week so we're now searching for a new property! We have flexible buyers but have agreed to rent if we can't move by Sept and I really don't want to do this (due to give birth in July)
We've found an alternative property that isn't on the market yet. It's a detached house on for £750,000 and the seller has found somewhere to move to so keen to move quickly.
We offered £725,000 after seeing it over the weekend as the EA said they were open to negotiation and wanted to move quickly but could go up to £735,000 although this is absolutely the top end of our budget. I spoke to the EA earlier who said the seller is looking to release as much value as possible. She seemed generally quite unbothered in negotiating and basically said oh we have a few viewings but I can give you a call tomorrow to let you know what's going on.
Does anyone have a view on how to approach this? We want to make an offer of £735,000 as our best and final. I assume the EA is essentially waiting to see if she has any other people who are interested who would pay more.
My question is when would you go in with a final offer? Put our cards on the table today or wait until the EA comes back to us and risk missing out?
I do hate property searching
